FUND-RAISING

Hi Again,

Can you believe how close we are to Christmas??

To help raise money for the three charities we have chosen we have been donated some bits that we will auction off to put towards a grand total when we have the Summer Walk 2010. Please check out my Facebook page (Alexandra Larue) and the Photo Album 'Auction for Charity' to look at the items you can bid on. There are some lovely Bull Terrier Prints - truly stunning and some quirky bits. I am hoping to add more later on.

The Halloween walk was a great success and as mentioned before Daisy De Jesus stole the show by dressing up as a witch -just look how cute she is.

Thank you for your continuing support.

FUND-RAISING

Hi All
Firstly a HUGE thank you to everyone that turned up on the bully walk - the outfits were brilliant (pictures on soon) and it was brilliant to be reunited with the Wallerue sisters.
Ok, next years Summer Charity Walk will be held to raise money for Brain Tumour UK, The Dog's Trust and Cystic Fibrosis Trust - all equally as important and worthy of our bullies attention. Now because it's quite a few charities to raise money for we thought we would hold some mini-events before then in order to have a (hopefully) MASSIVE grand total after the walk.
We will be running an online auction on this blog with all proceeds going to the three charities.
NOW - this is where your help comes in - we need auction prizes!! I am in the process of writing to companies and begging, asking, for any donations but if you have any doggy memorablia you do not want or know of a company that will donate then please, please let us know. Let's use our bullies to raise money and awareness for these three worthy causes.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME
The Wallerue Clan xx

WALLERUE

It is a day of mixed emotions - our lovely Xena has gone to her
new forever home and whilst there was a few tears we couldn't wish for a
nicer family for her. Xena is now proudly owned by Mr and Mrs Thompson and family and we wish them loads of bully snuggles and fun times.
Our Smudge has also embarked on her new life with her new owners Steve and his lovely son Sam. We know with lots of love and 'squirts' Smudge will be the best friend they are after. We couldn't wish for nicer owners for Smudge and yes we all cried.
We received a really nice letter from Cancer Research and it sits proudly on our fireplace - I wanted to put it on here but as of yet haven't been able to so here is an excerpt.
"On behalf of Cancer Research UK I would like to thank you for your very kind donation of £286.60 raised from your sponsor dog walk. I would be most grateful if you could forward our thanks to all those who help raise such a staggering sum.......Thank you once again. Together we will beat cancer."
Wow, we feel chuffed to bits to promote our breed and raise money for such worthy causes. Thank you from all of us at Wallerue for your continuing support.
Ok, next walk will be in October, Halloween time, Bullies in Fancy Dress - what some great photos we will get. I will announce the date as soon as I can so please email if you would like to be kept updated.

Nelly's Puppies

Nelly News
Well, as sad as it makes us, we are really happy to announce that Boudicea and Xena have found really lovely people to forever home them. Whllst it is hard for us it is being made easier knowing that our fur babies are going to good, loving and very spoiling homes. PINK COLLARS all round!!!
They are all growing very fast and grow more stunning each day, we have fallen in love with two of them and so Wallerue's name begins.....

We have decided to organise another Bully Walk FOR FUN in October - perhaps with a Halloween theme - dogs in Fancy Dress!!! Please email to show interest and we will keep you updated.

Hope you are all well and your bullies are keeping you busy and laughing.

GREAT NEWS!!!

What great news!!
With your help we have managed to raise £276.65 for Cancer Research UK.
We are so happy with the result.
Those that know us are aware that we are 100% committed to using our dogs to raise money for all the deserving charities whilst promoting the English Bull Terrier breed in a positive light, which they deserve.
Nelly's puppies are doing really well and are growing
fast. More pictures will be added soon.
Once again, a HUGE thank you to you all.
BULLIES RULE!!!!

Sunday, 2 August 2009

Wow, the walk went really well thanks to everyone that turned up to support
a very worthy cause.
We will post the final figure raised soon but so far we have raised over £200 for Cancer Research UK.
We have been asked whether two bully walks a year in Colchester would be possible - we will of course organise a walk for later this year if everyone wants one? Please email us to show interest. Just a get together - no charity support - we'll save the charitable events for the summer months.
The puppies are doing really well and we're really happy to have met Boudicea's future parents - a sad day for us but we're happy knowing that she will end up in a safe, loving home.
Nelly is such a wonderful mother - so patient and caring. We're so proud of her.

GROWING FAST!!

Nearly two weeks in and the puppies are growing at a tremendous
rate. Mother and fur babies are doing really well. Nelly has taken to
mother-hood with kindness and gentleness.
We may be biased but they truly are a very pretty bunch of puppies - I am
not quite sure how I am going to let them go to new forever homes.
I will insist that contact remains and regular photo updates will be
a requirement LOL.
Tinkerbell sits by the puppies most of the day and is enjoying being an Aunty
though I am sure in a few weeks when they are nipping her ears and biting
her ankles she will have second thoughts.
I will be adding new photos soon as they have all changes already so keep a look out.

WOOHOO!! NELLY DID IT!?!?

Way to go Nelly!

Wow, what a week it has been. Nelly delivered her first pup on Wednesday 1st July @
8.30pm by 03.30am Thursday morning we had our last healthy puppy.
Nelly is doing really well and has learnt to be very attentive to her babies. She has turned out to be a wonderul and caring mummy.
Out of the 7 puppies - 1 is a boy white with eye patches and the rest are girls, 3 with eye patches and the rest pure white.
They are so gorgeous and doing very well. It was an emotional night - with sweat, tears and tantrums. We are so proud of Nelly and I must say we are a little proud of ourselves too.
As I am sure you have already read a big thank you to Tanya from Bullyfield but I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mum Heywood for helping us out when we have to go to work and for always being at the end of the phone to help out, Dad Waller for running us about and looking after Nelly pre-pups and after, and to them all, thanks for their continous support and believing in us. We seriously could not have done it without you all. THANK YOU.
xx

PHEW! WHAT A WEEK AT THE WALLERUE HOUSEHOLD?

Wow, what a week!!
what with organising the Bully Walk which is gathering steam, sending out sponsor forms and
finding a time to contact the local press, our bullies are certainly
keeping us on our toes!!
Nelly is progressing really well and the signs are all pointing to one thing -
PUPPIES!! Fingers crossed everyone, we would love Wallerue pups.
Now, those that do follow us know of our distress a few months ago with Bobby who
decided to consume a nylon dog lead?? After nearly dying he had a life-saving operation where 2ft of lead was removed from his intestines.
Well guess what??? We are erratic in keeping things from him but Oops, he's done it again!! They have pulled out
plastic and material - and we are wondering how on earth it has happened. It looks like he is going to face being muzzled everytime we go out from now on. He's been operated on and as I type he is resting and looking VERY sorry for himself - will he learn - we very much doubt it??
We will keep you posted.
If you can support us for the Bully Walk 2009 by either joining us, putting up a poster or simply spreading the word we would truly appreciate it.

Sunday, 7 June 2009

Well HERE WE GO AGAIN!!
Those that follow us know that we were heartbroken last year when Nelly had a phantom
pregnancy! Well she was mated in May and 33 days down the line and she is looking VERY pregnant. Fingers crossed we will have Wallerue puppies very soon.
She is doing really well - and coping beautifully.
Please feel free to email or comment on these posts, we will try and answer everyone.

The Bully Walk 2009 is gathering steam and the date of 1st August @ 1pm has been set.
We have sponsor forms, so if anyone can help us raise money and awareness for
Cancer Research UK we would be truly appreciative. If not, then any windows to put up a poster advertising this walk and such a worthy cause would also be just as appreciated. Please email us to volunteer your help.

Thank you to you all for your continuing support and for following us. We will keep you informed about our Naughty (but nice) Nelly

BULLT WALK 2009 UPDATE

This year the Bully Walk 2009 will be held on Saturday 1st August
at the Roman walk we did last year.

Please feel free to email for further details, travel directions etc.

I now have sponsor forms, if you want some please email me with your
address and I will get them sent out to you.
I can appreciate that times are tough, we too have been hit by this recession,
but every LITTLE helps and not only can we raise money for
such a worthy cause but we are also promoting our beloved breed in a good
light. I will be asking the media to attend so let's show others how brilliant this kind, wonderful and wacky breed of dog really is.

On the home front, all dogs are well. Nelly and Snuffle are both in season so we will be trying again to have some Wallerue puppies with our two beloved girls.
Fingers and paws crossed. As usual I will keep you all posted.
